Annual Berlin Festivals

• January: Green Week, held in the middle of the month, where a range of different industries gather at the Exhibition Grounds / ICC Berlin
• February: Berlinale International Film Festival, with major film screening across the country
• May: Berlin Theatre festival, attracting a range of prominent theatrical companies from around Europe
• June: Carnival of Cultures, an enormous event centred around Berlin's Kreuzberg district at the beginning of the month, attracting around one million people
• July: Love Parade, huge event famed for its party atmosphere and dance music
• July: Berlin Gay and Lesbian Festival, featuring a range of lesbian and gay events, including colourful parades, parties, music and dancing



• August: Beer Festival, with over 1,500 different types of beer, held at Berlin's Strasberger Platz
• September: Berlin Literature Festival, one of the world's biggest book festivals
• November: Berlin Jazz Festival, with many famous jazz musician and bands
